My 2nd Review of The Crimson Clan (Destiny Phoenix 1)

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ Smashwords ][ GoodReads

So I decided after the author took my review into account, and made the changes I suggested, to re-read it and re-review it.
It reads a lot better now. I was given the honor of re-editing the book so I'm not sure if I caught all the errors but I caught most of them if not all of them.
The story is still a great story, and with the revisions made it flows a lot better now. There's no hiccups in it now, and the reader will fall into the story a lot easier.
Destiny still remains one of the most interesting heroines I have ever read about. The story will still mainly appeal to the lovers of young adult and paranormal, but I think readers as young as 13 or 14 will enjoy it as well as any adults that enjoy the young adult genre will.
The story is engaging and full of action. The ending will leave the reader curious to know what happens next.
With how well it flows now, I'm gladly forced to change my rating and look forward to tackling book 2.

My Review of The Impostor (The Alaskan Heart Saga 1) by Tiffany Carmouche

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ Smashwords ][ GoodReads

*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This was a surprising story. I'm not really a romance reader, but the author asked if I would read it for her tour and I can never tell a friend no.
I was really surprised! I instantly fell in love with the klutzy, accident prone main character Nicole. Her past is as jaded as my own and I found myself able to easily relate to her and her desire to give her daughter a better life.
I admit Dylan's reaction to Nicole came as a shock. Bradley's not so much.
I found no errors in this work, no formatting issues, everything flowed seamlessly.
The thriller part will definitely keep the reader on their toes even though it's obvious early on who the killer is.
The ending...The ending will without a doubt leave the reader wanting to know what happens next. I personally can not wait to read book 2

My Review of Born in Flames (Born in Flames 1) by Candace Knoebel

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ GoodReads

This an amazing start to this series. The characters each have their own feel and the reader will mostly feel a connection to Aurora.
There were a couple of minor errors, and only one I had an actual problem with. There's a scene where Aurora receives a letter and while she reads it aloud and claims Fenn is mentioned in it by name, he isn't. I reread the letter passage four times just to be sure on this.
Other than the font size being really small (I have a kindle keyboard that does not have the option of adjusting font size) I absolutely loved the story. It has without a doubt caught my interest and I look forward to reading the next book to see how much Aurora, Fenn, and Alexis grow from what they are now.

My Review of Malevolent Gateway (S.P.I.R.I.T. 2) by Dawn Gray

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ Smashwords ][ GoodReads

*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This is one hell of a ghost story. I unfortunately did not have the chance to read the first in this series, but while most series are a straight continuation, this one seems to not be. If I had my guess, I would say the S.P.I.R.I.T unit in this one may be the only link to the first book.
I find only three or four minor spelling errors in the whole book, which is pretty long considering it took me the whole day to read this one.
The story is engaging and a bit frightening really. It's definitely a must read for any fan of Clive Barker's work.
The way this story ends is semi cliff hanging and I do hope book 3 will be the continuation of it so they can finally find what they were looking for to begin with.

My Review of Color Me Pretty by CM Stunich

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ GoodReads

*I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Color me Pretty is the sequel to Paint to me Beautiful and it's job very well. The story reads as a very long epilogue to the first book as the reader follows Claire on the start of her road to recovery.
The editing on this book was far better than PMB's and I only spotted two small errors.
Paint Me Beautiful and Color Me Pretty are books that prove to the world that change can happen if the person really wants it to. It's not a thing that can be forced on a person, or guilted into doing. The person them self truly needs to find that spark that screams "I don't want this anymore. I want to change."
The support of friends and family is a key role in these books as they are in real life when it comes to the topics of this book as well as topics of a similiar nature. Again I urge people, give these books a chance and then be the best damn Emmett Sinclair you can be, it may save someone's life. If you're a Claire Sinclair, then learn from her and grow and blossom just like she did and realize you are not alone in your battle.

My Review of Paint Me Beautiful by CM Stunich

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][  GoodReads

This story is bound to piss a LOT of people off. It will piss off a lot of the Claire's and Marlena's of the world... But... It should still be read. So both sides can understand and learn.
Throughout the story, Claire gives glimpses of how she ends up, she doesn't want to end up that way, but she's spiraled so far it's inevitable. I honestly think if it wasn't for Emmett, she'd have been lost months before.
There are a few minor errors that I spotted, they are nothing drastic.
The story will put a whole array in emotions, questions, and doubts in the reader's head which is absolutely why this story needs to reach as far it can.
I honestly believe this book would do wonders in clinics and hospitals around the world. I know the next print copy I purchase will be donate somewhere where it can help someone.
I encourage you, even if this type of book isn't your cup of tea, read it anyway, what you learn from it may end up helping you save a loved one's life someday.
Thank you to all the Emmett Sinclairs of the world, and thank you to CM Stunich for telling the story of millions of people in the world that need people to know that are beautiful just the way they are.

*I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*
This is an amazing story for any lover of fairy tales. Maia is suck a strong character, she fits her role in life beautifully.
I did feel the story could have used a little bit more detailing to it but I know how tight the schedule was for this book.
I did find a few minor errors but because my copy is an arc my review will not be reflected on them since they in no way impeded my reading obviously since I finished the book in 2 hours.
The story will without a doubt grip the reader from the very beginning and it's quite a joy ride that will be given.
A smile will definitely be embedded on the reader's face long after the book is concluded.
I look forward to reading the next installment, I'm hoping there is one since this book leaves off a note that will have the reader wishing it were longer.

My Review of Wandering (The Wanderer Series 2) by Heather Sutherlin

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][  GoodReads

*I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

Where to begin, where to begin?
Reading Wandering was like seeing an old friend really. I found myself thrown into the story a lot quicker than I had been with Seen.
The story will tug at your heartstrings as Rory fights to find a way home and Jaron fights to come to understand she isn't lost to him.
While there are no evil doers in this story for our trio to fight, there are inner demons they must pass to understand that they have fulfilled the prophecy.
I was disappointed in not finding out Cynda's fate. The end of the story will bring a smile to the reader's face and perhaps a tear or two.
The book is very well written and while it contains the slight error here and there it's obvious it was missed slight. I guarantee this book will grab the reader and refuse to let go until the words "the end" are seen.
And though I am sad to know this is the last I was read about Rory, Joran, Rin, and Zern and all of Rutahn, I give this book 5 of 5 paws

The story itself is a unique one. Bryan has taken epic fantasy and breathed new life in it.
The story put me in mind of The Legend of Drizzt, with a patchwork quilt of characters all working together to rid their land of evil. The characters of all different and some are a bit funny. I found Orindyll to be quite eccentric.
I liked the whole outlaw of magic thing which makes things a lot harder for the heroes since most of them use magic, and magic is needed to defeat the enemy.
The book ends on a slight cliffhanger making the reader eager to Spring Dawn Rising which is the conclusion to this part of the series.
The story has tons of action and the reader will continue to read well past the time they should have gone to sleep.
Hopefully the author corrects the small not really important errors I spotted before the release. Then the book will really be perfect.

My Review of Deadborn by CM Stunich

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ GoodReads

This was one of the scariest, strangest, most twisted zombie apocalypse books I have ever read. It gripped me from the start and I was honestly surprised to find the main character was a male and not a female. Galen comes off as really a no self esteem whiner throughout most of the book, but he eventually finds his back bone. Holly however is kick ass. If ever there was a zombie apocalypse I'd absolutely want her on my side.
The story is very fast paced and once it gets its claws into the reader, it will not allow itself to be closed until its story its told. As I write this it's almost five in the morning that's how good the story is.
However, there are several errors that were more than likely "lost in the moment" encountered. A few of them forced me to read a sentence more than once to figure out exactly what was being portrayed.
However good the story is, because of the amount of errors I found, which really shocked me since I found no errors in First, I can not honestly give this book the 5 paws the story itself deserves.

My Review of Sabaska's Tale (Tales of the Travelers 1) by J.A. Campbell

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ GoodReads

*I was given this Reviewer Copy by the author via Lady Amber's Tours in exchange for an honest review*

This is a wonderful story, and honestly even with the rare occasion of a swear word here and there (there's at least one f bomb in the entire book and couple of sh*t's. Really three maybe four swears in the whole book) I'd let my children read it. The story is an amazing tale of friendship, love, loss, and trust between human and horse.
Sabaska is such a spirited little mare you cheer for her through everything . I have no doubt that the Sabaska in this book is a perfect reflection of the horse she was created after, world hopping and all lol. I imagine this was a tough story to tell with the main equine being based off a beloved friend that is no longer with us. I do hope this tale brought the author some measure of closure to her loss.
This story is very well written I spotted only one error in the entire work.
I only had one small problem with the storyline. The reader not only grows close to Sabaska and Anna but to Amir as well, and Amir is virtually forgotten about halfway through the story.
I hope that at least some point in the series Amir will show up again he was a smart horse and I have a feeling his story isn't finished yet.
Despite the three or four instances with swear words, this is story any horse lover of any age will love and appreciate. Even some that aren't too fond of horses may look our equine counter parts in a different light after reading Sabaska's Tale.
Ms. Campbell you did your companion justice with this story...and I look forward to seeing what other trouble Sabaska gets into with Anna and Cahir.

My Review of Sweet Contradiction by Peggy Martinez

*I Received this Reviewer ARC from the Author via B3 Tours in exchange for an Honest Review*

Beth's parents are your typical deep south, bible belt, Christians. The type that don't allow their children to do anything because everything is a sin. I don't know how that girl put up with it honestly. When she hit legal age, she left and vowed she would never go back. All of that changed with one phone call from her best friend.
My copy was an ARC so I'm unsure if it was corrected already or not, but I did spot a couple of small errors.
The story itself is beautifully written and the reader will fall in love with the main characters very easily.
I'm actually very glad that this was the first book by this author that I had the pleasure of reading, I truly loved the theme of it. While I'm not Christian, I could still relate to the religious aspects of the story and obviously all the fears and apprehensions Beth had.
I look forward to reading the next book since while knowing this was Beth and Matt's story, I was left wanting when it came to Jenn and Hunter which I know will be dealt with in the next book.

My Review of Don't Kill Dinner (The Rules 1) by Jennifer Martinez

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ GoodReads

This has to be one of the quirkiest books I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I found myself either smiling or outright giggling at a lot of the sarcastic remarks Kenna made. And Arthur was simply priceless as he threw the sarcasm right back.
I did find a couple of what I like to call "Lost in the moment" errors, but nothing that will slow the reader down at all. Just a simple missing apostrophe here or a missing letter on the word thought there. Nothing world ending.
The story is very unique as this is truly the first vampire themed book I've ever read where the vampires have rules that include "Don't Kill Dinner" which is the number one rule they live by.
The story is very well written and it will definitely catch the reader and not let go. There's tons of fast paced action..And Jennifer has managed to create a creature I had never heard of coming in male form at all.
I absolutely loved this story and I need my Kenna fix.... Suddenly crackheads on flowers makes a whole lot more sense!

My Review of The Ghost Catcher by KC Sprayberry

I was handed an ARC in exchanged for an honest review. Because this is an ARC I will speak nothing of any errors I may have found within this work.
This had to be the cutest piece of flash fiction I've ever read. It sounds like the end of a serious and I do hope K.C. will expand on it with other shorts about how the Ghosties met the other ghosts and perhaps a story for Limbo as well.
I was absolutely brought to think about the Ghostbusters while I read this. Only instead of it being four adult guys, it's a ragtag group of teenagers ranging in age from seventeen to twenty.
The story is the perfect campfire read and very child friendly. Anyone from about age eight and up will love this story if they like ghost stories.
For it's cute nature and interesting lesson that every adult should pay mind to..

My Review of Night Visions (Night Series 1) by Elena Gray

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][  GoodReads

While this story is good, I had a hard time getting into it. I found the beginning rather slow and honestly dreaded picking it up again. I found no real errors, only seriously like one to two spelling errors and I think four instances where if the sentence would have began with a noun instead of starting with verb, it would have sounded better. However the four instances this occurred in, I had to read the sentence three times to understand it.
Around chapter six is when the story started to get interesting enough to hold my attention. Pretty much from there on out it held my attention enough to finish the entire book in less than a day. The story will touch on an array of different emotions and is every fast paced.
The characters are very well thought out and it's easy to slip into each character that controls whatever scene the reader is reading. There were a couple of small loopholes that while I eagerly awaited them to be filled, sadly they were not. Hopefully they will be dealt with in the sequel.

My Review of First Boy by Dennis Sharpe

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ GoodReads

This is a short story so my review will be short so as not to give anything away.
First boy will chill the blood of just about anyone. The story is definitely sure to be a campfire favorite once it gets around a little more.
I would love to see perhaps a prequel short of "Father's" origin as I'm almost sure that story would top the creep o'meter more than First Boy does.
I found no errors in grammar or formatting. As usual Dennis' work is painsaking flawless. Kudos to your editor and yourself Sir!
All in all for a piece of flash fiction it contains only one "loophole" at the end that I'm sure will be dealt with when another story starring "Father" is written, keep that in mind before you scream in aggrivation at the end lol

For originality and the fact that I'll be checking the shadows in my house tonight..I give this short 5 of 5 paws

My Review of Hellhound Twisted (Kasadya 2) by Karen Swart

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Smashwords ][ GoodReads

Wow... Just WOW! Hellhound Twisted picks up right where Hellhound Awakened left off.. The reader and easily finished Awakened and pick up Twisted without losing a beat. Even if, like myself, some time has passed since you read Awakened, slipping back into Kasadya's life takes nothing. As with Awakened, so to with Twisted, the reader is sucked quickly into the book. The reader will while understanding Kas' hurt and pain, will fully understand Chax's anger at her as well. Kas learned nothing while in hell except how to be more independant. Because of those two years, she's forgotten that she can not take on the world all alone even though she tries. When the plot of this part of the series comes into play, instead of going to Chax or any of the other Custos, Kas once again does not use her head.
There are a lot more characters brought into play in this one than in the last, and the emotions of the story are a lot stronger in this one. I will admit I almost cried more than once while reading this.
I found a handful of small, easily missed word switches but nothing major enough to impede the reader's flow.
Karen has woven this part of the series a lot better than she had Awakened and the reader will find it almost impossible to be destracted until the book is completed.
I was a little ticked about the ending.. but it's a good kind of ticked. The way this book ends will have the reader scream in frustration, go a little insane, and pace around like a caged animal while waiting for Hellhound Born to release.
Kudos Karen, you've written something I seem to be unable to get enough of >^.^<

My Review of Our Souls to Keep (Book 1) by Gary A. Caruso

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ GoodReads

This is definitely different than other supernatural, heaven vs hell stories I've read. This book doesn't happen from the pov of view of a good guy, it happens from the pov from a demon hybrid named Wake. Wake is a soul collector. To live he must feed on the on the souls of those who die. He collects the souls for Satan. What makes his job so difficult, is the souls he collects must come from people that have committed suicide.
I spotted a handful of small errors in the work. Nothing major, just a few overlooked things. I was impressed that the author did his research on the different kinds of demons, including the different names for males and females. The painted a very vivid image of what hell looks like that will have the reader see it clearly, the reader may even be able to smell the sulfur that permeates the air if they let themselves that far into it.
Being what Wake is, I enjoyed seeing how he tried to manage his demon self and his human self.
I did spot a couple of small wording errors... For instance, the plural os Cactus is Cacti. But the errors aren't major and there was literally only a couple.
This story is fast paced and will have the reader on the edge of their seat. There are parts that will make the reader smile, as well as parts that will make the reader tear up.
I look forward to seeing what else this author comes up with.

Monster by Ben Burgess Jr.

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ GoodReads

This is a very powerful read. There is so much pain and truth in the opening poem (which was the inspiration for the story), it flows into the reader and touches the darkest recesses of the heart. All too often men are done how Kenny was done. Color, race, creed, none of that matters really, it happens to men just like it does women. Some men are a bit stronger and overcome it quickly. Others, like Kenny, the hurt is so deep that they fall. They spiral so far out of control they become the thing they hate the most. I know this from my own personal experience with someone who fell just as hard as Kenny did.
Even as you watch Ken's disastrous transformation begin, his heart still holds to finding that certain someone who will right all the wrongs that have been done to him.
I found a few minor errors that were easily over looked, the errors are very slight.
The sex scenes, and let's face it, Ken is a manwhore there's a LOT of sex in this book, The scenes are written tastefully. Being me, I'm not an overly huge fan of erotic tales and certain words, even if simply reading them to myself, will have me looking like a strawberry. This was not the case with this book. The sex scenes seem to almost be there simply because they have to be to explain the depth of Ken's anguish. They are artfully written and worded tastefully.
It's refreshing when you can feel not only the characters, but a hint of the author as well. I will by no means lie to anyone. This story is NOT for everyone. I do believe it should be read by everyone though, especially the young men who have gone through the pain that Ken did. An outcast myself, I know all too well the knife wounds that riddle Ken's heart and this made me appreciate the story all the more.
There are very few stories of this genre.. Fiction that reads like an autobiography.. That touched me in the way this one has.. In fact, only three other authors have accomplished this feat in all my thirty two years, Piers Anthony (Letters to Jenny), Jennifer Martinez (Written in the Stars), and Derinda Love (Today Only).
I applaud Benny for this work of art, something in my heart tells me that just like the other three mentioned, there's more than just a sliver of truth to the words than the author will lead on.
One small problem I had wasn't with the story, but with the female characters. When it all comes crumbling down, suddenly Ken is the bad guy, granted, he's far from a saint but those women for as strong and intelligent as Ken described them to be are pretty freaking stupid if they make their own decisions and then want to point a finger when shyt kicks them in the ass. The only instance I can honestly say Ken should have had his ass kicked for was Heather. She's the only one that he truly did wrong. Denise and Krissy knew the truth of the situation and yet still everything was pinned on Ken. And don't even get me started on some of the others...
I encourage if the reader is a male, READ this book..If the reader is a female READ this book. There are so many important life lessons in the pages of this work that it truly would benefit everyone if they read it
I give this book 5 of 5 paws and look forward to what Benny decides to let flow next.

Knotted Roots by Ruthi Kight

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ Smashwords ][ GoodReads

Roxie comes off as your typical spoiled rich kid. Her life revolves around her social standing, so it comes as no surprise the injustice she feels when certain events happen that threaten her very way of life, as well as the circle of friends she has. When she is forced to leave her posh New York life style to spend three months in Soth Carolina with her Grandmother, Roxie feels as though her entire life is ending. She shares her fear of returning a social pariah with her best friend Amber who promises to help try to help sway her parents to let her go where her friends will be for the summer instead, that's when everything falls apart.
As the story progresses the reader will note certain things Roxie does that will make you question, they make her question as well. The reader will find them self wanting more than anything to slap the snob and stupid out this girl one more then just a handful of occasions. There will be definite tears on more than one occasion.
There were a few minor spelling errors nothing at all drastic. They were more than likely missed due to the timelines writers and Beta Teams are under to get things done in. They will not halt the understanding of the sentence nor slow the reader down at all.
A small story hang up I found myself pondering more than once was the absolute vanishment of Amber after the last call. I do not believe that however stuck up and self absorbed a person is, someone who calls someone their best friend for x amount of years does not just suddenly stop after one disagreement. Then again, perhaps they can. There is not enough information on Amber to know why she didn't pursue her best friend, but the reader will know without a doubt why Roxie didn't.
All in all, this story is a great coming of age tale. I do hope Ruthi will write a sequel (even if Airicka has to help with the title again lol) so we can see how Roxie and the others in Perry Point at doing. These characters are unforgettable, and while the people in this story are fictional, like any other amazingly written work, they leave a very real impression on the reader. There are plenty of lessons to be learned within these 189 pages and they are ones every human being should learn.

The Buttersmiths' Gold (Evertaster Companion Prequel) by Adam Glendon Sidwell

Amazon (print) ][ Amazon uk (print)][ B&N (print) ][ GoodReads

As stated in the Forward, Reading Evertaster is not mandatory before reading this book. This book tells the tale of how the butter came to be. A very fitting companion to the trilogy if I do say so myself.
The story begins at some point after Felicity's helicopters come and whisk the Johnsonville's to complete their part of the creation of the One Recipe, which left Braxton, Torbjorn, and Storfjell knocked out on the viking long boat with the cows (who were still doing all the rowing).
The viking brothers tell Braxton that while everyone thinks vikings love blueberry muffins above all else that the best food in all of Midgard is the butter! With further prompting, Torbjorn begins to weave the tale of his clan's butter and why is it better than any other in all the world.
I found myself chuckling as I read of Torbojorn's first venture into the biggest village in Midgard. To viking style, there was most certainly a brawl that would more than likely become a legend.
There is so much actual Norse myth and legend woven into this story, it was a delight for me to read. I'm as huge fan of all things Midgard as anyone that knows me can attest lol.
I do hope the author will make other companion stories for the trilogy, like the how the eggs came to be, or Arreviderci's chocolates. I'd most definitely be interested in those stories too and I'm sure others would be as well.
I give this book 5 of 5 paws.

Course of Legends (Evertaster 1) by Adam Glendon Sidwell

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ GoodReads

I won't even try to lie, when I first saw this book I was almost positive I was not going to like it. I had opted to review it simply because it was not something I had read before and I simply love finding new things.
While I was so sure I would hate this story, the exact opposite became the reality. Evertaster is the most outside the box story I have ever read in my life. I found myself arching an eyebrow more than once at the ingredients I found in here.
I have to wonder about Guster's very unusual name when his entire family has normal names, but honestly, with how unique Guster is, the name is more than fitting.
I was telling my other half about the book and my six year old over heard and now she wants to go joggle cows for butter! Yes, yes that is how odd this story is!
I loved the character names, most of which will make you smile. This story has almost non stop humor, action, and advenure and is sure to please readers from infancy to a thousand!
I await The Delicious City and The Final Season most eagerly and give this book 5 of 5 paws.

Aberrant (Aberrant 1) by Ruth Silver

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ Nook ][ GoodReads

Aberrant starts out pretty much like every other Dystopian book I've read so far (which isn't very many). Like the others, some unknown virus wiped out most of the human race some however centuries ago. Everyone in Cabal, like in all Dystopian books, has whatever population remains divided into main groups. You have your citizens, who in live in cities walled off from the rest of the world and are controlled by the reigning government...And you have your rebels who live outside the sanctioned wall cities. As usual, the government and the rebels hate each other, and the citizens have it drilled it in their heads that nothing is outside the "safety" of their walled city. Also, the same with most Dystopian books (even a few select Dystopian listed as Sci-fi), love is no longer a factor in marriages. The government chooses your mate and you have to deal with it.
Now that I've listed the similarities, I'll tell you what makes Aberrant different from any Dystopian book I've ever read. Some of the rebel cities are just as forceful and corrupt as the government they are against...And natural conception is a thing of myths from before the Red Plague (this book's killer virus). Enter Olivia Parker, the girl everyone wants for one reason or another and her best friend Joshua Warren.
I really do have to give Olivia props. If I'd gone through half the crap she seems to find herself in almost every chapter, I'm almost sure I'd have either lost my sanity or killed myself.. Or someone else o.O Olivia, while having a small nervous breakdown here and there, pretty much remains a strong character never once wavering from the things she wants the most in life.
There is plenty of action and near heart stopping moments in this book. Aside from a slight easy to miss typos here and there it's a gripping read the reader will be unable to put down. I read it in three hours. I kept telling myself that I didn't have to rush. (As I'm writing this on my note pad I'm cursing my cable company for the week I'm going without net atm). Even though I no longer had the deadline looming over me, I still HAD to continue to turn the pages to see what happened next.
So while many will sit there and whine and complain about the similarities this book has to other Dystopian books (I haven't read enough of them to know if the reason they're all based like this one is what makes the genre), I urge the reader to look at the differences this story will bring. These differences make this book a must read for any lover of the genre.
I hope Ruth is working on a sequel to this book and if she is I look forward to reading it.
I give this book 4 of 5 paws

Angelstone (Dark Angel 2) by Hanna Peach

Kindle ][ Kindle uk ][ GoodReads

Angelstone begins with Alyx and Israel in Tara. It's a tad more intense then Angelfire. The emotions that seemingly just run amok in this book are felt in every instance by the reader.
I particular liked the scenes in the dreamscape. Alyx's fear of Michael rolls off her in wave after wave and every bit of that fear latches onto the reader. Just like with Angelfire, the reader will easily forget that they are not part of the story.
Jordan, Alyx, and even Passar have some very strong emotional sway in this book. I found their emotions and scenes were a bit easier to follow this time around than Israel's.
As with book one, book's two descriptions are up to par, the reader will flawlessly slide in and out of each scene seamlessly.
This one definitely has a higher emotion rate, and if the reader is one of those who emerces themselves into a book with everything they are, there will definitely be some anger and tears as tears.
I without a doubt await Angelsong book 3 in this series.

Zombie Cruise by Janiera Eldridge

Kindle ][ Kindle uk

This is a short story so please keep that in mind as my review may reflect the shortness of the story.
All I can say is ..Wow...
I spotted only 2 or 3 minor errors but my copy is an ARC so it was expected and I think I was told about them before hand.
Anyway this story for all of it's shortness, will definitely get your heart racing and your blood pumping. The twists that seemingly come out of nowhere totally take you off guard and slam the "reality" of the situation home to the reader more than once.
Once again Janiera Eldridge has amazed me with her talented way of making her vision be seen by the readers as vividly as if it were the reader experiencing it.
